A beautiful anti-inflammatory snack with a warm golden glow. Black pepper activates turmeric's curcumin — making this as functional as it is delicious.
💡 Turmeric can stain — use a dedicated pan or be careful with light-coloured cookware.
Ingredients
- 120g Nutriva Foods Lightly Salted Makhana
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp cracked black pepper
- ¼ tsp ginger powder
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Mix all spices in a small bowl.
Step 2
Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
Step 3
Add Makhana and stir 3–4 minutes until warm.
Step 4
Sprinkle spice mixture over and toss continuously 2–3 minutes until evenly coated and golden.
Step 5
Remove from heat, season with salt, cool 2 minutes before serving.
